Free eBay Listing Tip

I've been wanting to try this for awhile, but haven't had the time or energy or well, you know the drill.

But now eBay has sort of forced me to strip away so much of my listings that they are now impersonal and very plain. I've designed a 310x90 logo, but it's very bland, there's not much I can do with 310x90 of space. I wanted something that would pop, but wouldn't take 100's of hours of revising listings when eBay makes yet another site change or if I want to update it for the holidays, special sales, new products, etc.

I created a 500x250 banner with Photoshop. I uploaded it to photobucket.com. I added the appropriate html to one of my listings, I would post it here, but I don't know how to deactivate html, email if you have any questions.

Now when I want to change the image, I just delete the photobucket image and upload a new image with the same exact name. It will replace the one I have parked in all my listings. If I ever just want to clear it out, I can just upload a white square (which is why I put in border=0, so it won't be seen, but the link to my eBay store will be there if anyone mouses over it).

This way I can create banners for Thanksgiving and Christmas specials and not have to revise 100's of listings (I'm just trying this for my Fixed Price listings for now). Check it out here.

I'm back from vacation

Had a wonderful time, the bride was absolutely beautiful. It's so hard to believe my little baby sis can fly a jet and shoot a hellfire missile. I'm so proud of all her accomplishments and am happy to welcome Brandon to the family. Now back to work!

Vacation Alert

As you may know, I was closed down for a few days last week to attend my sisters bachelorette party (she & her fiance just got back from separate 7 month Iraq deployments, she's a Navy pilot, he's a Marine pilot). Her wedding is next weekend and I will be closing down from September 9th-15th. But after this, I will not take any more vacations until after the holidays, unless I win the lottery, then I'm taking you all with me.
